Music is an art form whose medium is sound. Common elements of music are pitch, rhythm, dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. To many people in many cultures music is an important part of their way of life. It is the art of arranging sounds in time so as to produce a continuous, unified, and evocative composition, as through melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre, esp. so as to form structurally complete and emotionally expressive compositions. Music most often implies sounds with distinct pitches that are arranged into melodies and organized into patterns of rhythm and metre. Although the original source of musical sound does not have to be human, music is always the result of some kind of human mediation, intention or organisation through production practices such as composition, arrangement, performance or presentation. Good music is calming and makes you comfortable.
